We got turned on to the band with their self-released EP called Bed Of Gold. In this session, they perform four brand new, previously unreleased tracks that will likely appear on another EP before the end of the year. New Music focuses on something just added to the WOXY.com playlist. Today the spotlight is on the new album from Dungen, Tio Bitar, the album was just released this week and is in stores now, you can also purchase it from our friends at lala.com for $9.49.

- Fourth full length from Swedish band helmed by wunderkid Gustav Ejstes
- Tio Bitar translates to Ten Pieces but as with previous Dungen records, all lyrics are sung entirely in Swedish
- Ejstes credits an early gift for his mother, a copy of Jimi Hendrix’ Are You Experienced, as a major influence in his life, stating that’s where he discovered and understood what a ‘groove’ was.
Here are a few reviewers quotes about the new album.
- “It isn’t the sort of artistic statement that promises to change anyone’s life, but it’s no less a great work of escapist art, the sort of essential record I’d pick for any hypothetical list of desert island necessities.” - Stylus Magazine
- “Tio Bitar is Dungen’s most realized album yet and should resonate with anyone who likes rock music at all.” - All Music Guide
- “The influences may be antediluvian but the spirit is timeless.” - BBC Collective

The Baltimore based four-piece, J Roddy Walston & The Business, stopped in for a session with us a few weeks ago. The band is touring supporting their debut full length album, Hail Mega Boys, which is also self released.
The guys played a blistering set that was one of the louder ones the lounge has seen in some time. All five of the tunes they played during the set can be found on the debut CD and are available for full session download below. We have also cut out two songs for individual download. Enjoy!

“Introducing” focuses on something just added to the WOXY.com playlist that is not only new to our playlist, but new to WOXY.com in general. Today the spotlight is on the new album from The Boggs, titled, Forts. The album is out on record store shelves this week.

- The Boggs is a collaborative project led by Jason Friedman, who every few years collects different musicians to record an album as The Boggs.
- This is the third album for The Boggs, and the first since 2003’s Stitches.
- Current Boggs members include Matt Schultz (Enon), Sam Jayne (Love As Laughter) and Heather D’Angelo (Au Revoir Simone).
Here are some reviewers quotes about Forts.
- “Forts is a fiercely-felt testament to Friedman’s compositional virtuosity: a rickety trip at times, to be sure, but thrilling as a ride on a wood-frame rollercoaster” - Harp Magazine
- “The garage-rock-disco-rave meltdown sound of 2007,
get acquainted or get lost!” - NME
- “…a curious album colored with strained dialogue and urgent poetry. The words in total giving the feeling that something nearby is in danger of breaking very soon. The music follows this striking haphazard path, crashing, jangling, pumping and bumping on its way to something bright and great.” - Filter
