Not an entry, but an encouragement to others. Saw them last night in Chicago (thanks Joe) and they not only put on a fantastic show, but were really cool guys and very big fans of the station. By all means put in an entry here.

I’m going old-school with Episodes. I cannot deny my love for that song. I’ll be going to the Cambridge show on Thursday regardless of the contest… but free tickets would make it so much sweeter.

I am voting to give the Cambridge Tix to Caroline too. ;>
I will be next door at Middle East seeing Voxtrot or else I’d be vying for them too. I saw Pela a few months ago and they were even better than everybody told me.
My current favorite is Cavalry. Nate’s work on the guitar is at his best and I like the synth work that Eric includes. A bit different sound for Pela but a nice direction for them I think.

Ah!!! Just listened to the latest audio entries. Spooning your bass player is fine as long as nobody knows about it…oh, wait.

I only recently discovered Pela through a friend and I’ve fallen in love with the song “Anytown Graffiti”– particularly the way it blends into “7 and 17th” after. But, I’ve basically been listening to the whole Anytown Graffiti CD for my whole work day– it’s awesome! I’d really, REALLY love to hit up the Cambridge show tomorrow night but I can’t afford to pay 10$ to go out at the point in my life, so the free ticket offer is super tantalizing. Otherwise, I’ll curl up with my CD :D
Cheerio–

It looks like Pela has come up with another reason to see their shows…show up and see Billy hurt himself. Pela meets Johnny Knoxville?
See their tourblog entry “Ian MacKaye, Toronto and a Hospital Visit?” http://www.pelamusic.com/tourblog/2007/06/13/ian-mackaye-toronto-and-a-hospital-visit/
