WOXY.com Now On HD Radio In Cincinnati
Yesterday marked the launch of WOXY.com on HD2 radio here in the Cincinnati area. It has been a long strange trip for WOXY from years as the terrestrial 97X to the current incarnation as WOXY.com online and worldwide. We are really excited to be a part of HD Radio now as well and if you are in the Cincinnati area and want to be able to listen, here is a good spot to grab a affordable and portable radio for just 100$.
Just in case you don’t know what HD Radio is, and many still do not, here is a short description.
HD Radio technology enables AM and FM radio stations to broadcast their programs digitally; a tremendous leap in technology from today’s familiar analog broadcasts.
Here is more info about HD Radio……, and more here.
Here is a photo one of our listeners took yesterday as well with their new HD Radio tuned in.

Ah ha! So that explains my serious confusion at the Mini dealership (one of the showroom cars had an HD radio in it) on Saturday. I didn’t know that 97X wasn’t broadcasting yet, and so I was wondering why you were playing the theme to Sanford & Son.

Been listening since the minute the switch got thrown.
Bought an HD radio in April to finally get some 24hour jazz in Cinti. Having WOXY back on the air is even MORE awesome!

Just got my HD radio!!! Woxy never sounded any better. Should I be expecting the song title/Album to display on the radio? Or the web site spoil me?
