I really like The Go! Team. Thunder, Lighting, Strike was one of my favorite albums a few years back. I’m in college and really am strapped for cash right now, and cds happened to be something I had to give up. Its on my lala want list but I dont see it coming anytime in the near future. So dont make me wait until Christmas/for it to come into the library. Please ;)

My fiance loooooooooooooves the Go! Team and this would be a great surprise for him. I live in NYC and he lives in London and we haven’t seen each other in awhile but he’s coming in November and this would be an awesome gift to give him. Thanks!

Winning The Go! Team’s new CD would not only be welcomed by me, but would please the two youngest listener children immensely. They routinely ask me to play the “cheerleader CD” when they hop in the car. More Go! Team exposure by these youngsters would be another blow in my neverending fight against the musically corrupting influence of Hannah Montana, High School Musical and the rest of the evil Disney empire.

I need something between Genesis and Gomez on my CD rack. See for yourself, http://www.lala.com/frontend/action/karma?userToken=17099@11804

“Junior Kickstart” is my personal theme song and I spread the gospel of The Go! Team on every mix CD I make for friends. I sadly missed their show at the Double Door in Chicago last weekend because of prior travel plans, so I would love to have the chance to submerge myself in the gloriously retro, unpredictable, and wholly invigorating sounds of their newest album.

I had a dream that I saw the Go Team’s new CD on top of a flaming pie. It was then that I knew it had to be mine.

I love The Go! Team and I never win anything!

Because I haven’t won anything from woxy for 13 years.

The Go! Team - let’s just say the musical horizons of my household will not only be expanded by winning this CD, but will also cause my family to enjoy its offerings while causing me to expand my desire to tell even more people of the health benefits of woxy.com. Besides, it has some damned good songs on it. :o)

For me this album is something fun, a bright spot in the mostly dismal gloomy music I listen to. The Go Team! really know how to kick up the energy.

Whenever I’m at work, half-heartedly crunching away at some boring project I’d rather not being doing, and I hear “Flashlight Fight” come on, my mind is magically transported away to a world of old kung-fu movies that somehow involve Chuck D backed up by a crazy 80s-tracksuit clad street-crew of assorted b-boys, bombers, and other hip-hop stereotypes, while a plethora of samurai and cyborg ninjas do battle all around. This is a MUCH better place to be than the boring office, and if I had the CD, I could choose when I got to be whisked away to this wonderful land of beats, ninja fights and other badassness!

I’ve never heard The Go! Team, but they sound like something I would like and this would give me a chance to find out.

I loved the first record! Listening to The Go! Team reminds me of what it felt like to be a 5 year old: watching Sesame Street, riding bikes, running around the neighborhood with friends skipping double dutch and playing tag. My life is far from being that carefree today, but if this new album would give me that same feeling of unfettered youthful glee for even a few minutes, I’d love to win it!

I’ve loved the Go! Team ever since I saw them perform at Pitchfork’s first musical festival (then known as Intonation Festival) in Chicago a handful of years ago. That magical afternoon touched my soul and inspired a love for the Go! Team that is both strong and true. Go! Team is my first… my last… my everything. Being without their new CD is like being without a little part of my soul…
Help me complete myself, WOXY. I emplore you.

I have never really listened to The Go! Team, but I would really like to explore their music. If I win a copy, I will make sure to buy a copy for a friend and pay it forward, so to speak. Thanks.

It would be great for me to win this album, simply because I may not have any other way to hear it. I am currently a poor college student, and I have no expendable income to put towards buying a lot of CDs. I also do not want to illegally download it. So simply put, this giveaway may be my only chance for a while to hear what I’m sure is another excellent Go! Team record.

I just saw the Go! Team at Double Door in Chicago last Saturday night! Fantastic show and I’m still reeling from it. I first heard the band on WOXY.com… I listen all day, every day at work and every once in a while a great song will catch my attention and I will check the playlist to see who’s piqued my interest… every Go! Team song has done that for me. I don’t have the album because I’m on a tight, tight budget, but now that I’ve seen them live, I want to listen non-stop. Please award me the new album… plllleeeeeaaaaaaase!!! :)

I live in a Des Moines suburb where there are no decent record stores, the only place to even start to find some indie CD’s is at Half Price Books, and who knows where those people found those CD’s. There is no way that there is a Double Disc version of Proof Of Youth in this city.

I’ve never heard The Go! Team, but if it’s an album that woxy recommends…I want it! Plus, it’ll help me get through sitting at a desk all day…is there a better reason?
October 19th, 2007 at 2:16 pm
I will listen to the CD, and if I like it as much as their songs I’ve heard on WOXY I’ll propably go to their upcoming show. AND I’ll let my friends borrow it so they can enjoy and want to come to the show with me. I’ll eventually put it up for trade on Lala. That is unless it’s one of those CDs you just can’t trade away.

I work in radio. It’s a station in a small market where they never send us cool CDs. And as you know, being in radio pretty much means I’m broke. So getting a free CD would be really sweet. Plus nobody ever gives me anything which is really sending me into a downward spiral of introspection, and the world doesn’t really need more of that. Begging, guilt, I’ve got it goin’ on.
