David Matysiak and Mason Brown were formerly members of a band that we’ve played quite a bit over the years called Jet By Day. When that band called it quits in 2006, David & Mason decided to keep making music as Coyote Bones was born.

The recording of their debut record “Gentleman On the Rocks” was a very organic process. They ended up working with a talented group of friends and musicians including Andy Lemaster of Now It’s Overhead, Maria Taylor & Orenda Fink of Azure Ray, and also members of Tilly & The Wall, The Faint, and Bright Eyes.
