The Customs Tonight On Local Lixx
Join Joe tonight at 8:30 pm for a special episode of Local Lixx. 30 years ago a band out of Cincinnati was shaking the Queen City up with its brand of brash garage rock. The Customs received a now
famous quote from a Cincinnati newspaper during their heyday, ……
“The loudest, drunkest, most obnoxious Rock & Roll band in the city…fronted by a “singer” with the vocal ability of the local Greyhound bus dispatcher.”
At the time it may not have seemed like a compliment, but it has stood the test of time and so has their music. The band will be reuniting this Saturday night here in Cincinnati, playing a show at the Southgate House to celebrate the re-issue of their album Long Gone on the Shake It label, and playing together for the first time in over 25 years.
So tune in tonight at 8:30 for a look back at one of Cincinnati’s most influential garage rock bands on a special installment of Local Lixx.

Does this mean the band will be in the studio for an interview? Performance?

Jeff, nothing in studio, just me playing some of their songs and talking it up a bit. You can see an interview I did with two members here though….
