Every now and then I like to highlight new additions to our hour of new music, which is at 6pm eastern time everyday on WOXY.com. It is one of my favorite hours of the day and while I know some folks would rather hear familiar stuff all the time, some of our more adventurous listeners are dedicated NBN fans.

New music today focuses in on the new album from Liars, which is a self titled album and is available in stores right now from Mute Records.
This is the fourth full length album from Liars and the follow up to their 2006 effort, Drums Not Dead.
This new album is easily the most accessible and poppy of any previous Liars albums.

New Music looks at the latest album from The New Pornographers today, released yesterday and titled, Challengers
This is the 4th full length effort from the so called “supergroup” made up of Destroyer’s Dan Bejar, A.C. Newman, and Neko Case among others.
A.C Newman again takes care of the majority of the songwriting on this album, penning 9 of the 12 songs.

New music focuses in on the new album from Architechture In Helsinki today, which is in stores next Tuesday.
This is the third studio release from the band, but their first for Polyvinyl Records.
The Aussie indie-poppers are now a 6 member band, and had previously been an 8 piece.

New music today is featuring the new album from Stars, due out Septemeber 25th from Arts & Crafts Records.
After the album leaked, Arts & Crafts tried to head off the downloaders by making the album availble in digital format right away. The physical album is not available until September 25th however.
This is the 4th full length album from the band that boasts many members of Broken Social Scene.

New music today is featuring the sophomore full length from indie rockers Bishop Allen. The band made a name for themselves last year by releasing new music each month and have now released their first full album in 4 years.
This is the first full length album from the band since 2003’s Charm School.
The album is being released on Dead Oceans Records, a sister label to Jagjaguwar and Secretly Canadian Records.
The album plays like a greatest hits from their ambitious “EP A Month” project from 2006.

New Music focuses on an album recently added to the WOXY.com playlist, although the debut from Justice was added some time ago, I would like to focus in on it in a bit more detail today.
Justice is comprised of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, a French duo formed in 2004.
This debut disc was released overseas through Ed Banger’s label, and is on Vice here in the states.
